Dear Sirs:-
In reply to your letter under date of 8th of March,, I beg to inform yo that Mr. Edison cannot permit the use of his name in connection with the new style of corset, to which you have directed his attention.
He is very much opposed to his name being used in such a way, and absolutely prohibits it.
Mr. Edison will be pleased to receive from you a letter to the effect that you have abandoned any intention that you say have had of using his [illegible] referred to.
