James F. Kelly, Esq.,
No. 19 Dey Street, New York City
Dear Sir:-
I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of 12th instant, in regard to Mr. J.W. Clark, of Trenton, Ontario.
I do not remember Mr. Clark, but all the same, I regret that I am unable to tell him how he can get a Phonograph.
Several people, friends of mine, have applied to me for information as to obtaining Phonographs in Canada, but Mr. Lippincott will not permit a machine to enter that territory at this time.
I do not know what he intends to do eventually, but at present he seems determined to do nothing.
Very truly yours,
A.O. Tate
