April 17th 1890
J.I.C. Clarke, Esq.,
"The Morning Journal,"
Room 25, Tribune Building, New York City.
Dear Sir:-
With reference to the article "Edison's Wonder World" which you propose publishing in the Journal, Mr. Edison says that you will have to excuse him for the present.
He is working night and day, and the experiment which he is engaged, is of such a nature that it is impracticable for him to spare the zinc necessary for an appointment with your Mr. O'Keefe.
He will give Mr. O'Keefe an audience at the first available opportunity.
Yours very truly,
A.O. Tate
