April 19th, 1890
Samuel G. Burn, Esq.,
Bryant Building Room 9,
Charlotte, North Carlonia.
Dear Sir:-
I have received your letter of 16th instant, in regard to certain samples from some mines, which you are holding for my decision as to where they shall be assayed.
I think that you had better have these assays made at the United States Mint in Charlotte.
I should like to hear from you as to what you think of Mr. Roitta's assays. I have a letter from Riotte this morning, in which he insists that his reports are absolutely correct.
They, as you will have seen, are showing up very poor, and I am getting discouraged.
Yours very truly,
Thos. A. Edison
