Dear Sir:-
Replying to your letter of 15th instant, with which was enclosed a communication from Mr. Charles A. Cheovar, regarding the Edison-Gilliland German Patent #37,819. I beg to any that I am quite willing to bear my share of the expense in this connection but I should like to know how much I shall have to expand, of which please be kind enough to advise me.

At Mr. Edison's request I enclose herewith a letter from Messrs Arthur C. Frasar and Company, also certain reports in connection with the French patent for Incandescent Lamps, which were sent to Mr. Edison at the request of Mr. Armagoud Jeune.
