MEMARANDUM FOR MAJOR EATON, ESQ.,
My dear Major,-
The Boston people send me a memorandum of business transacted at regular intervals. In the last Mem. which I have received, there is the following note: "We wrote to Messrs. Eaton & Lewis on the 26th, enclosing check for $309.81 of which we have no acknowledgement as yet, though we had a letter from Mr. Eaton this morning about another matter."
Did you get the check? I mention the matter in case the check should have miscarried.
Yours truly,
A.O. Tate
