May 9, 1890 George Bayles, M. D., Orange, N. J. My dear Sir:- I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of 1[9]th ultimo, in regard to the International Medical Congress, which is to be held in Berlin on the 4h of August next. The only matter of interest of which I can think now, is a very successful experiment which I conducted of eliminating uric acid from the finger joints by the use of lithia, forced in and out of the finger by electrical osmose.
