May 9, 1890 Everett Frazar, Esq., No.. 124 Water St., New York City Dear Sir:- I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of 8th instant, enclosing check amounting to $1,037.62. Owing to the arrangement which has recently been made with the Edison United Phonograph Company, all invoices after March 11th will be treated differently from those prior to that date, when the phonograph business in China and Japan was directly in my hands. I therefore accept these two checks on account of invoices rendered you prior to the 11th day of March last, upon which is a balance is due of some $1,300. The amount still outstanding on thee invoices is sufficient to adjust any difference of details, should such arise. Yours very truly, Thos A. Edison
