Jan 9, 1890 John Burke, Esq., Llewellyn Park, N.J. Dear Sir:- You will doubtless remember that at the time the Edison Wiring Company, wired your grounds for electric light there were so many errors made that we had to keep men from the Laboratory here on the work repairing the same. I advised you at the time not to pay a balance due by you to the Edison Wiring Co. of some $700, inasmuch as we had a repair bill which would affect the amount. I enclose now an itemized statement of this [illegible] account, amounting to $439.38 and wish you would very kindly forward me your check for the same to Mr. Edison's order. Yours very truly, A.O. Tate Private Secretary
