January 20, 1891.
Samuel Insull, Esq.,
Edison Building, Broad Street, New York City.
Dear Sir:-
You will remember that when we received Cel. Gouraud’s letter of the 29th of October last, replying to Mr. Edison’s letter regarding the Connery business, you asked me if I would prepare a reply. I wrote you several times for Col. Gouraud’s [communication?] in order that I might comply with your request, but it was only received at the Laboratory during my recent illness. Do you want to open the matter up again, or do you consider it better for [us?] to stand on the record as it now is?
Yours very truly,
A. O. Tate
Private Secretary.
