Dear Sirs:-
I have your letter of 16th instant, informing me that in the attachment suit against the Edison Phonograph Toy Mfg. Co. you have retained a local lawyer in New Jersey for the purpose of convenience and accuracy, and requesting a check for $100 to the order of Albert Watson, as a retaining fee to said lawyer. In compliance with this request I take pleasure in enclosing herewith check of the Edison Phonograph Works for the amount named. Kindly acknowledge its receipt.
