January 26, 1891.
Edison General Electric Co.,
Lamp Manufacturing Department, Harrison, N. J.
Mr. Chas. H. Heeley, Head Accountant.
Dear Sir:-
Replying to your letter of 23rd instant, in which you inquire if we have any charges against the Lamp Mfg. Dep’t. for experimental work conducted at the Laboratory, I beg to inform you that we have. The reason that the bills for this work have not been rendered as usual is because we are arranging with the Edison Gen’l. Electric Company for a basis upon which to charge our experimental accounts against the various Departments. These arrangements are not yet concluded. As soon as they are we will forward bills for all charges against your Works that appear on our books.
Yours very truly,
A. O. Tate
Private Secretary.
