January 28, 1891.
Alexander Elliott, Jr., Esq.,
First National Bank Building,
Paterson, N.J.
Dear Sir:-
With reference to the attached letter from S.D. Brown, Mining Expert of your city, in regard to the Centennial Mines, you might see Brown and say if the mine pans out well on magnetic survey, I might take a lease of it, making the minimum amount payable sufficient to pay the interest on the indebtedness, and four or five hundred dollars additional. I am not prepared, however, to make any arrangement until after a magnetic survey has been made.
Yours very truly,
Thomas A. Edison
