Orange, N.J.

We desire to have Lakeside Avenue from Valley Road to the West Orange line macadamised. Mr. Edison and the Phonograph Works, together, own all the property on the North side of this Avenue within the boundaries named. I understand that the proper method of procedure is to present to the Township Committee a petition signed by a majority in interest of the property holders, expressed in lineal feet. Yours very truly,
A. O. Tate
Private Secretary.
