J. B. Skehan, Esq.,
Upper Montclair, N.J.
Dear Sir:-
Your letter of 3rd instant, enclosing newspaper clipping in regard to certain experiments conducted at the Smithsonian Institute with the aid of a phonograph, has been received in Mr. Edison’s absence. It will be placed before him immediately upon his return to the Laboratory. Mr. Edison will doubtless be glad to see the report of these experiments, which I notice you have sent for.
Yours very truly,
A. O. Tate
