2/11/91. H. M. Livor Esq. Gen’l Mngr NJ&Pa Conctg Co. Dear Sir Copy of the original letter sent to you 2/9/91 has been returned to me by Mr. Edison, with the following note – “Thomas If the old machines can be fixed up to run a few months it will answer as we can then put in new ones with all improvements if we are successful. See Mr. Livor and do what he suggests. E.” The old machines can probably be fixed up to run a short time but the best results should not be expected from them. If you conclude to retain them you will still require the addition of a feed apparatus and guide pulleys to each machine If the Phono Wks receive an order for these promptly, the pieces can be made as a continuation of the present order and expense of manufacture somewhat lessened. Sent you a postal this morning saying last [illegible] shipment would not leave before Friday and that I would be at Ogden on Monday. Yours Truly EW Thomas.
