Dear Sir:-
Referring to your telegram asking me to send you in the original assignment of Edison to the Edison Phonograph Works of Toy Co. manufacturing agreement dated August 6, 1889, I enclose herewith a letter under date 21st April, 1890, addressed to me by Major Eaton, with which was enclosed a copy of this assignment (dated March 11, 1890). The original was never sent to us from Major Eaton’s office. The minute book of the Edison Phonograph Works is in Major Eaton’s office, and I would suggest your looking it up, as I believe it will furnish you important information respecting this assignment.
Yours very truly,
A.O. Tate
Private Secretary.
