February 25, 1891.
Pierre Richemond, Esq.,
Hotel Victoria, 27th St. & Broadway, New York City.
Dear Sir:-
With reference to your letter of 23rd instant, Mr. Edison has just returned to Orange after several weeks’ absence and is laid up with a severe cold, being unable to speak. An interview under these circumstances would be impracticable. With reference to your visiting Schenectady, you have a letter from Mr. Edison introducing you to Mr. John Kreusi, the Manager of the Schenectady Works, and I am sure that the latter will be glad to extend to you any privileges in his power.
Yours very truly,
A. O. Tate
Private Secretary.
