Dear Sir:-
Mr. Edison returned to the Laboratory yesterday after an absence of several weeks, and your recent correspondence relative to certain experiments upon monkeys with the aid of a phonograph which were conducted at the Smithsonian Institution, was submitted to him. He peruse the same with much interest and is much obliged to you for having brought the matter to his attention.
