Upon Mr. Edison’s return to the Laboratory a few days ago after an absence of several weeks your letter of 9th instant was handed to him. In reply he has [instructed?] [illegible text] [say?] [what?] the resistance of [flashed?] filaments at first diminishes, then [illegible text] [restraints?] of [refreshed?] filaments increases.
