W.J. Jenks, Esq., Edison Electric Light Company, Room 71, #44 Wall St., New York City.
Dear Sir:-
I return herewith list of Canadian patents granted to Mr. Edison for inventions relating to electric lighting etc., according to the record of the Ottawa Patent Office, the same having accompanied your letter to me dated 24th instant.
I have examined all of Mr. Edison’s patents which are in the Laboratory safe, and find that there are no Canadian patents for inventions in electric lighting or power work included among them. To be exact, there is only one Canadian patent, and that is on the subject of telephones.
Yours truly,
(Signed A.O.Tate)
Private Secretary.
