Edward C. Cockey, Esq. Sup’t. Supplies,
Western Union Tel. Co., New York City.
Dear Sir:-
Your letter of 25th instant is received. I am very sorry to learn that the quadruplex instruments [ware?] found on inspection to be defective, and I regret very much that you have been put to the trouble of repairing them. These instruments should not have left the laboratory if they were not in good condition. I shall be glad to receive from you a bill covering the repairs.
Yours very truly,
(Signed Thomas A. Edison)
