March 3,1891. Miss V.H. NoRae, Manager, The Phonogram, New York City. Dear Madame,- Referring to Mr. Edison’s subscription for five shares of the Capital Stock of your Magazine, “THE PHONOGRAM,” and also to your letter of 23rd ultimo, I take pleasure in enclosing herewith Mr. Edison’s check for $250, covering half the amount of his subscription, the same being in accordance with your letter of 31st December last.
