Dear Sir:-
I enclose herewith letter under date March 3rd from Mr. George E. Prescott, transmitting check for Mr. Edison’s share of the English Quadruplex royalty. You will notice that Mr. Prescott refers to it as the “final payment,” and for that reason I send you the papers in connection with the same for your examination, the same being as follows:
Agreement between T.A. Edison, Geo. E. Prescott and Gerritt Smith, with relation to Patents of Gt. Britain No. 384 of 1875 and No.197 of 1877, dated May 31, 1877.
Please return all the papers with your reply, and oblige.
