Dear Sir:-
I return herewith my letter to you of 5th instant which was attached to your memo of 6th instant in regard to the deed of Mr. Edison's house. I have looked over the papers in our safe which were received from you at the time the Arnold and Constable mortgage was paid, and none of them contains the description that you want. The A & C mortgage itself is not in our safe; the cancellation of it is. Mr. Edison suggests that perhaps you could get a description of the property from the records in the County Clerk's office. He also says that the stated [illegible text]
