April 11, 1891.
Mr. H. H. Thomas,
No. 54 Chester Park,
Boston, Mass.
Dear Sir:-
Your letter of 10th instant is nt hand.
Mr. Edison has two processes for duplicating phonographic records. With one it is necessary that the originals should be taken on a special machine. With the other we can obtain from thirty to fifty duplicates, providing the original is good. The cost for duplicating cylinders is 65 cents each. The process is complicated, and we only duplicate at the Laboratory.
Yours very truly,
(Signed A.O. Tate)
Private Secretary.
