April 16, 1891. Mr. E. S. Moffat, Lackawanna Iron & Steel Co., Scranton, PA. Dear Sir:- Replying to your letter of the 13th instant I beg to say that following out your suggestion that we should consult your New York office, we have had an interview with Mr. Clarke and have made arrangements to ship 100 tons of our concentrates for trial. It will be forwarded to-morrow or next day. Did you make an analysis of the sample I sent to you. The chemist in New York made an analysis which showed .050 phosphorus, but the Pennsylvania Steel Co. states that they have made an analysis of a sample and only found .005. There must be a mistake somewhere of one decimal point. I think the concentrates carry .050 instead of .005. Yours very truly, (Signed Thos. A. Edison)
