Morace S. Osborne, Esq.,
44 Hill Street,
Newark, N. J.
Dear Sir:-
Mr. Gladstone has referred to Mr. Edison your letter under date April 27th, in regard to rent due by Mrs. Ritchie. Mr. Edison desires me to say that there was no agreement upon his part permitting Mrs. Ritchie to occupy the house in question rent free, and that the bill rendered by the Edison Manufacturing Company should be paid. I shall be glad to learn if this intimation is sufficient.
Yours very truly,
Alfred Ord Tate
Private Secretary.
