My dear Insull,-
Referring to the attached, I have always intended to recognize Sprengel in a practical way. I think the Edison Company should send him a check for fifteen hundred dollars. There is no reason why in doing so they should join with Swan. I would prefer to have them make the present on their account. Please return Mr. Swan’s letter and let me know what will be done.
