May 2, 1891. Edward D. Adams, Esq. 455 Madison Avenue, New York. My dear Mr. Adams,- I have received your kind invitation for dinner at eight o’clock Thursday, 7th instant, to meet Colonel Theodore Turrettini. I am going away Wednesday, and if I can possibly arrange my affairs it will give me great pleasure to take advantage of your kind invitation. I will let you know definitely not later than Wednesday.
