H.M. Livor Esq.,
Genl Mngr NJ & PA Concg Co.
Dear Sir
Referring to your letter of May 7th in relation to winding of coils for the seven new machines we beg to say Mr. Edison’s first instructions to Mr. Kennelly were to design some of the coils for 125 volts.
The new coils will only require one half the current of those now in use and if they answer the purpose new ones will be gradually substituted for old ones.
Will you kindly arrange to have the posts stopped and the cross bills cancelled for the new machines so there shall be no delay when the cartridges arrive.
Yours truly,
Edison Laboratory
Thomas
PS Part of this letter referring to coals has been surmised to Mr. Kennelly for his approval
