E.E. Morgan Esq.,
c/o New Haven Clock Company,
New Haven, Conn.,
Dear Sir:-
Mr. Edison is in receipt of a letter dated April 19th from Mr. N.E. Walter, of the National Signal , Company, London, England, requesting information regarding the Logan Storage Battery, and asking that the reply be sent to you so that you could communicate with Mr. Walter by cable, should you deem it necessary.
Mr. Edison has asked me to say in reply to Mr. Walter’s letter that he is not using and never has used Mr. Logan’s batteries. He is therefore unable to give any information concerning them. It was intended at one time to erect a plant of these batteries at the Laboratory, but the arrangement was never carried out. Consequently Mr. Edison knows nothing as to the merits of the cell.
Yours truly
A.O. Tate
