Dear Sir:-
With reference to your letter of 21st instant, asking if Mr. Edison would consent to the retaining of Hiram S. Maxim, to testify in our behalf, I beg to confirm the message which was telephoned to you from this office to-day in reply to your inquiry, to the effect that Mr. Edison approved of your retaining Maxim.
