5/27/91. H.M. Livor Esq Genl. Mngr N.J.+Pa. Conctg Wks Dear Sir The phonograph wks will ship you by express [usure] two flanges. Will you kindly have them placed upon one of the concave tightening drums and run for a day or so. The centre of drum shaft should be marked before slacking up the screws so that the same tension will be on each side when replaced. We do not think the flanges are as good a means of adjustments as the guide pulleys but all bearings not actually necessary should be dispensed on acct of the dust Kindly let us know results early as you can Yours truly Edison Laboratory Thomas Sketch enclosed New drums are 7’2’ yours 7’7’
