June 15, 1891.
Col. George E. Gouraud,
Edison House, Northumberland Ave.,
London, W.C., England.
Dear Sir:-
I sent to you by Saturday’s steamer 3 ½ dozen duplicates of the two phonograph records which were made by yourself and Mr. Moriarty when at the Laboratory. There are 18 of one kind and two dozen of the other. An accident happened to the record, of which there are 18, and the duplication is not as good as I would like. You will, however, see how distinct the duplicates are. We can duplicate any cylinders that you have, provided they are smooth records.
Yours very truly,
Thomas A. Edison
