42nd Broad Street, New York. July 25th, 1891. Dr. Gattling, Hartford, Conn. Dear Sir:- Mr. Greene of the Edison [--] informs me that you called a few days ago to see him in regard to the Kinetograph, and that you informed him that you desired to use this instrument for photographing the shots of the Gattling gun, and wished to know if it was available for that purpose. I beg to advise you that Mr. Edison has not yet completed his work on the kinetograph and does not expect to have it ready for another year or so.. He is so much pre-occupied with other, and more important matters that he gets very little time to work on this invention Yours truly, Private Secretary.
