We have sent to you by express a sample case containing six boxes duplicated musical records, and beg to advise you that we are prepared to furnish these in moderate quantities. The charge for duplicating, not including cylinders, packing or boxing, will be 33[cents] for each cylinder.
In ordering duplicate records, you will please place a requisition with the North American Phonograph Company for the desired number of cylinders, instructing them to make delivery of same at this Laboratory. Upon receipt of these they will be duplicated and shipped by us in accordance with your directions.
The charge for boxing and peeking, as per sample, will be as follows: Small paper single cylinder boxes 3 1/2 cents each; large box and packing 25 cents.
Should you send us any cylinders for the purpose of having their records transferred, we can furnish from 30 to 150 duplicates of good quality at price named above, provided the former reach us in perfect condition and are free from scratching.
You will find inside one of the paper boxes of samples referred to, a small weight which, if attached to the reproducer weight of phonograph, will improve reproduction: and prevent the cylinders from whistling.
Yours very truly,
Thomas A. Edison
