Dear Sir
Mr. Edison has sent me your letter to him and date 2nd inst upon which he made the following work:-
“I want you to go over on the opposite side of the Adirondacks to Benson’s mine near Jayville. They have a bog conct mill there-mind go round as a gatherer of specimens + see just how wide + long + big a mine they have, am told by them its gigantic.
Will you please carry out Mr. Edison’s instructions?
