Thomas Maguire, Esq.,

Dear Sir:-
I have received from Silver Lake Balance Sheet for October 1st. I have asked Mr. Gladstone to render separate Balance Sheets for the Wax Department and the show these to the Battery Department and to send copies of them to you. It is not necessary to show these to Mr. Edison as he does not understand them; we prepare special reports for him.
Please file the enclosed papers.
Advise Mr. Gladstone that we have discontinued the Phonogram advertisement, and hand him the enclosed bills against the Edison General Electric Company, Toronto, which I have certified. I hand you for your information letter which I have received from Mr.Gladstone in regard to sending Weekly Reports to the Laboratory. It would appear from this that if you had explained the matter to him properly there would have been no lapse in the reports; you certainly could never have told him that you wanted these for the purpose of showing them to Mr. Edison.
Yours truly,
A.O. Tate
