Dear Sirs:-
I hand you herewith a letter from Prof. Bowdwitch of Harvard Medical School in regard to a phonograph for Prof. Hermann, of Konigsberg, who is investigating the mechanism of speech. It appears that you have had some correspondence with Prof. Bowditch upon this subject. Will you be kind enough to communicate with him again and advise him how soon you consider it will be possible for Prof. Hermann to obtain an instrument.
