A MEMORANDUM FOR MR. EDISON.
Some of the Phonograph Companies object to the word "DUPLICATE", which is on all the musical cylinders that we are sending out. Of course we cant eliminate this on duplicates made from the present masters, but it could left out in future if there is no particular objection. They state that the people think that there being sold and not getting music from original cylinders. One or two of the Companies have objected very seriously to it and if it is really unimportant I would like to have left it off in all future masters that we make. Please let me hear from you.
