August 28, 1891.
Louis Glass, Esq., District Manager,
Edison General Electric Company,
112 Bush St., San Francisco, Cal.
My dear Glass,—
I have received your letter of 17th instant, enclosing a communication addressed to Mr. Edison by Mr. Aaron G. Spencer in regard to platinum. Mr. Edison has been away from the Laboratory for the last month or two, but I think he will be at home to-morrow, when I will submit this sample to him, obtain a reply and forward it to you immediately.
I do not think that Mr. Edison is going to California this fall, although the trip has been mentioned. Mr. Insull leaves in about a week for the Pacific Coast and I suppose will turn up in San Francisco in the course of two or three weeks.
I wish you would remember me very kindly to Major Frank McLaughlin when next you see him. With kindest regards to yourself
I am, yours very truly,
A. O. Tate
Private Secretary.
