Aug. 28, 1891.
H. C. Ware, Esq.,
Edison Phonograph Works,
Orange, N. J.
Dear Sir:
I understand that up to the present time you have shipped to the North American Phonograph Co. about sixty phonographs under the contract for the sale of a thousand machines. How does this contract provide for payment? I am further informed that the North Am. Phone Co. have sold all these machines. I think that by the term of the content we are entitled to call upon them for a certain proportion of the proceeds of these sales. Please look the matter up and advise me by telephone to-morrow.
Yours very truly,
AO Tate
Secretary.
