August 31, 1891. W. S. Perry, Esq., Treasurer, N. J. & Penn’s. Constructing Works, New York City. Dear Sir:- I beg to advise you that Mr. Edison has purchased from Mr. H. M. Livor twenty-five shares of stock of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Concentrating Works, represented in Certificates No. 16, 72 and 251, which call for tea shares, ten shares and five shares, respectively. Please prepare for signature the forms of transfer [on?] your books, so that the first time Mr. Livor is in your office you can have him sign these forms. Mr. Livor has executed a transfer of this stock, but formality requires that the books of this Company shall be signed. Yours very truly, AO Tate Private Secretary.
