August 31, 1891.
A. O. Tate, Esq.,
Edison Building, Broad St.,
New York City.
Dear Sir:-
In regard to supplying service wire to Mr. Burke’s new house in Llewellyn Park for the operation of a motor, about which District Manager Shain wrote to the Laboratory some little time ago, I beg to inform you that the matter has been brought before Mr. Edison, and he says that it is impracticable for him to supply the service wire in question, for this reason that we cannot spare any more current from the Laboratory, being overloaded now.
Yours very truly,
Thomas Maguire
