Dear Sir:-
I enclose herewith credit memorandum for $1,000.00 in favor of Messrs. Lelands and Chaperon, for amount of minimum royalty as provided for in contrast between the gentleman named and Mr. Edison under date 24th day of August, 1889, $2,000 per year, payable half-yearly in advance. Please be kind enough to remit one thousand dollars to Messrs. Lelands and Chaperon, in accordance with the enclosed credit memorandum, and charge the same to Mr. Edison’s account.
