Sept. 19, 1891.
A. O. Tate, Esq.,
Edison Building,
Broad St.,
New York City.
Dear Sir:-
With reference to your letter of 18th instant, it is Mr. Samuel G. Barn whom Mr. Edison desires to examine the Catoctin Mine, and he is to make the examination as soon as he finishes the work upon which he is now engaged. I have been unable to ascertain when Mr. Burn is likely to return to the Laboratory, but I have reason to believe that he will do so before a great while. I will communicate with you before Mr. Burn leaves for Maryland to examine this property, so that you can arrange for his accommodation upon his arrival there.
Yours very truly,
Thomas Maguire
