Sept. 29, 1891. J. P. Ord, Esq., Comptroller, Edison General Electric Company, New York City. Dear Sir:- In regard to the Laboratory bills against the Edison General Electric Company, I am very anxious that we should have credit for these on the books of the General Company without delay so that our accounts may agree. I have sent you the details of one of the bills which shows the methods followed in making up all the account, and which was fully discussed before the contract, and agreed upon. With respect to the one-quarter of the Laboratory, which we are still in doubt as to how it should be dealt with, we can call Mr. Insull to our assistance upon his return, and settle definitely upon a plan to deal with respect to that portion of the agreement. I told Mr. Insull that so far as bills rendered were concerned I would settle the matter without him during his absence. I wish you would be kind enough to give this your immediate attention, so Mr. Insull will be in his office again on Monday next. Yours very truly, Private Secretary.
