Dear Sir:-
Mr. Edison has received your letter of 7th instant, and in reply he has instructed me to say to you that he shall be very pleased to have Professors R. T. Mallet and F. E. Mallet visit the Laboratory. Mr. Edison is obliged to leave town tomorrow or Monday next and will be absent for a week or ten days. He will not, therefore, have the pleasure of meeting these gentlemen, but when they arrive at the Laboratory if they will ask for Mr. Kennelly, he will be very pleased to conduct them through the establishment.
Yours very truly,
AO Tate
Private Secretary.
