As I drew the check in payment of your bill Mrs. Edison handed me your letter and Post Office order for $1.50/100 and asked me to reply to same.
I beg to state that I have before me your bill dated Nov. 27. 1891 which reads as follows
To Board Self + Miss Miller + Boys $26.00
Doctor Stellings Medicine 3.00
Livery 11.50
Your bill was added up $40.00 and if you will kindly go ever the above you will see that it adds up to $140.50 the amount of the check which was sent you by Mrs. Edison. If the above is not correct please send me a corrected bill to enable me to fine my books and oblige
